Dmitry Shostakovich, in full Dmitry Dmitriyevich Shostakovich, (born Sept. 12 [Sept. 25, New Style], 1906, St. Petersburg , Russia—died Aug. 9, 1975, Moscow, Russia, U.S.S.R.), Russian composer, renowned particularly for his 15 symphonies, numerous chamber works, and concerti, many of them written under the pressures of government-imposed standards of Soviet art.
Dilermando Reis (full name “Dilermando dos Santos Reis”) born on 22nd September 1916 at São Paulo, Brazil and died on 2nd January 1977 at Rio de Janeiro. He was a Brazilian musician, composer, guitarist and music teacher.

In his vast discography (he recorded until two years before his death at 61), his love for the past was responsible for the rediscovery of the great composer João Pernambuco .
